Spitzee School had 23 poetry entries in the Junior Category (Grades 4 – 6) from Mrs. Cathy King’s Class in the 2024 Legion Remembrance Contest.  Spitzee students placed in all three top categories – First Prize receiving $50.00 Cash Award, Second Prize receiving $25.00 Cash Award and Honourable Mention/3rd Prize receiving $10.00.  The students were presented with their Awards on December 11th, 2024 in Mrs. King’s class – and all student participations received a Poppy Certificate and a sticker.
