Sobeys High River presents a Cheque to the High River Legion
Jason McCauley, owner of High River Sobeys presents a cheque in the amount of $1247.50 to President Linda Reed of the High River Legion.
Every year Sobey’s sells in-store red poppy cookies with 100% of the proceeds to the Legion.
Jason says “We are so grateful for our veterans and what they’ve done for our country and freedom. I’m proud to say that we’ve had members of the military in service in each decade”.
The Legion wishes to thank Jason and Karen for this generous donation and their ongoing support for our weekly meat draws.
The High River Legion, Branch 71, is a non-profit organization that receives no financial assistance from outside agencies.
Through dues and fundraising activities legion branches assist veterans, their dependents and seniors and support local community initiatives. Volunteerism is the backbone of the High River Legion at all levels.
